Thanks to all who had breakfast at the Albany Applebee’s and supported the town’s robotics team. We had quite a number of friends stop by as well as folks who saw our signs and came in. Some people just donated, others stayed for breakfast, and some did both.
We had a good time hosting, waiting, serving, and learning a bit about what it is like to work in a restaurant.
The fundraiser was a success, and we continue to work toward our primary goal of $5000.00 to enter the 2015 competition, then on to raising the money to actually build the robot and run the team.
The students are willing to put in the work to make this team go and that in itself contains some valuable lessons beyond the technical.
